Another postcrossing card, this time from Germany:

Look at all those PX usernames! I would love to go to a Meet-up.

Also, stamp.

Prosper d'Epinay

I received a postcard from Mila in Belarus, via postcrossing:

Mila is a medical student. She was listening to "The Promise - Secret Garden" whilst writing this card. Mila loves October and Autumn (me too!), classical music and 30 Seconds to Mars.

Strusta Lake - according to the map, this is somewhere near Mila :)

As long as no one makes a wax version of me

I received this card from a sendsomething user almost exactly one year ago!

The Exciting WORLD OF THE OLD WEST
Royal London Wax Museum
Pheonix, Arizona

Look at those stamps! When were stamps only 15/18 cents?!

All that we see or seem

As much as I love postcards, there is nothing quite like receiving a hand-written letter in the mail. All the more special when there are other surprises inside. Knowing someone took the time, thought and energy to send you something original is just wonderful.

Something Blue from sendsomething.net sent me this marvelous package. I mean, just look at the envelope!

back

This is from quite the Poe fan, I don't know if you can tell? (look at that vintage stamp!) As part of the set, I received a few little extras...

Along with a very macabre printout of Poe in his coffin, with an anecdote about his death.
True, Something Blue, 'Tis the season, after all. ;)

There was a card with a lovely letter inside, in beautiful calligraphy. This was, in fact, a tagback letter from a Wizard of Oz postcard I had sent earlier this month. I'll have to think of something creative to send back :)

Happy Halloween,

Charlie
