прывітанне з Беларусі

I love this postcard from Olga in Belarus. It's a USSR postcard from 1981 showing a traditional embroidery pattern.

It is a very bright red in person. I really really want to make this!

She says: "прывітанне з Беларусі"
pronounced: "pryvitannie z Bielarusi"
translated: "Greetings from Belarus!"

Stamps!

Last concert: 30 Seconds to Mars (jealous!)

Book(s): Discworld series by Terry Prattchet - I know, I need to read these!

Thank you Olga!

Mila is a medical student. She was listening to "The Promise - Secret Garden" whilst writing this card. Mila loves October and Autumn (me too!), classical music and 30 Seconds to Mars.

Strusta Lake - according to the map, this is somewhere near Mila :)

Tree Hugger

Aleksey in Belarus sent me this postcard back in May:

and she asked me what a "tree hugger" is. But she didn't leave her address!
So I messaged her on postcrossing, and now I can respond:

from the Coca Cola postcard collection

George Carlin

to Helen in Belarus
her friend asked me to send her "happy words"
so I sent her a George Carlin quote:
"Here's all you have to know about men and women: Women are crazy, men are stupid. And the main reason women are crazy is that men are stupid."
