Top 10 Places You've Been

Swap-bot Top 10 PC Swap #7 - Places You've Been

Oklahoma postcard from Kim (postmarked in Texas....?)

I am very jealous of her list.

My list? In no particular order:
Spain (okay, this is definitely #1)
Minnesota - Cass Lake and Lake Itasca
Las Vegas
Grand Canyon
New Orleans
Atlanta
Wyoming (yes - the. entire. state.)
Smith Falls State Park
Chicago
Denver - especially 16th Street/downtown

I would also add Los Angeles - esp the Getty, Venice Beach, and Santa Monica - but I live here now, so it doesn't count. Neener

What's your top 10?

Preschool Project

A while ago, I received a postcard from Tammy in Michigan via postcrossing. Her son's preschool class is doing a postcard project, and she asked if I could send a postcard to him. I think that's so neat!

She sent me a Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum postcard!

Swap-bot Journal Experiment

So, this is the 3rd Swap-bot Journal Experiment I have participated in. I was SO excited, because it sounded so fun! You start a journal with your bio and a journal entry, then a journal prompt for the next person, then send it off and get a stranger's journal to answer the prompt, write a bio, a journal entry, then a prompt for the next person. BUT! I never received a journal for the second round (Which was #22). I waited until I got a journal to send for round three, which means I am sending it late, but I really didn't want to start another journal.

Here is a snapshot of something I put in my original journal and sent to Shannoncollar:

My very first journal I received was from basykes, and it was Savannahjan's journal. I was the 5th person to write in her journal!

For round #22, I sent Savannahjan's journal to sweetsweetlife (she hasn't rated me yet, so I don't know if I got it). My prompt was "Describe the oldest person you know, and the youngest."

So! For round #23 I got Heidi's journal. I was the 4th person to write in this journal, and the 3rd was none other than Savannahjan, who had a very similar prompt to her very first one.

Here's the front of Heidi's journal, which I think she altered herself:

very cute!

She asked for pictures so she knew who was writing, and I put this one from Christmas Eve, of Dylan and me:

The prompt I answered was: "3 joys, 3 fears, and 3 collections." My 3 joys were my niece and nephew, books, and music. My 3 fears: nothing, nothing, and nothing. My 3 collections: postcards, books and bookmarks, and pins/buttons. My prompt for gypsykitt3n is: "If you won the lottery, what would you do?" Now that I write that, it sounds boring.

If anyone who reads this is at all interested, the swap-bot for journal experiment #24 is here. Or, answer any of the prompts in the comments - I am always interested to hear!

1. 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 obsessions
2. If you had $100,000 but you couldn't keep it, who would you give it to and why?
3. What is your favorite Urban legend? Which ones scare you, if any?
4. If you could go anywhere in the world, (and money was no object) where would you go and what would you do there? (I said Egypt)
5. Describe the oldest person you know, and the youngest.
6. What is your perfect Saturday/Sunday?
7. What do you do on Halloween? Do you dress up? If yes, what were you?
8. 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 collections.

These are all the prompts I've seen in the 2 journals I've had.
