Нам есть, что скрывать

I LOVE ad cards! Some people on Postcrossing are adament about not receiving ad cards, but I think they're fascinating.

The phrase on the card:
translated: We have something to hide!
pronunciation: Nam yest', chto skryvat'

And check out these stamps!!

This is the best kind of postcard: unique, pretty stamps, another language, AND her favorite book? Hells yes. Thank you Kira!!!

PS. To Kill a Mockingbird is her favorite. This book has been on my to-read list for years.

ViewCard

US-3171274

To IceEagle in Russia.

A note about my adopted city: people think LA is a bunch of actors sitting in traffic. Truthfully, it is a beautiful city. The landscaping is awesome, the views are gorgeous, and there are on thousand things to do and look at! Mountains, beaches, and a fantastic urban life. I love it here. Sometimes, I miss home, but the thought of leaving here gets more and more... yuck. Why would I leave here? Don't answer that.

A Business Trip

I received a most interesting postcard: A woman from Moscow sent a Russian postcard with Deutschland stamps, postmarked at Briefzentrum 80 (Munich). Wow!

I would love to know where/what this place is!

Congrats on the engagement, Polina!

part of the postcard description I can't read:

Vladivostok

I love this old time photo postcard from Kaneste in Russia

Front:

Back:

The stamps are awesome! I also think it's neat when people write little tidbits like she did on the bottom: She wrote it on 15.08.12 (August 15, 2012) at 21:29 (9:29 pm), and it was Gloomy that day (25 C = 77 F).

Also, this took a month to get here! I picked it up from my PO Box on the 16th of September.

Getty Art

Got this postcard years ago at the Getty in Los Angeles, way before I even lived in Cali. I really really like this postcard - I bought 2 copies so I could keep one and send one.
