Another letter from Ms. Clara Bo!
So I decided to draw her some symbols on my response letter:

Vladivostok
I love this old time photo postcard from Kaneste in Russia
Front:
Back:
The stamps are awesome! I also think it's neat when people write little tidbits like she did on the bottom: She wrote it on 15.08.12 (August 15, 2012) at 21:29 (9:29 pm), and it was Gloomy that day (25 C = 77 F).
Also, this took a month to get here! I picked it up from my PO Box on the 16th of September.

Haapsalu
(please excuse the poor quality of my scanner)
How beautiful!
This is from Daire in Estonia.
"Warm sea water, curative mud and fresh air have made Haapsalu well-known for centuries. Only a hundred kilometers away from the capital, it's always been a loved summer resort in Estonia."

100 ideas
I absolutely love Keri Smith's book Wreck this journal:
Here's mine:

So what made me think to post about wreck this journal? Looking through my snail mail blogs, I came across This 100 Ideas post from theyearthepumpkinsarrivedlate. Turns out, it's by the same woman, Keri Smith! I thought, what a wonderful idea! But I am terrible at keeping a journal. So what if I turned this into inspiration for snail mail? Sort of like the mailtag that Erin sent me. Voila! Inspiration!

(Instruction #4: Instructions are open to interpretation. My plan was to steal fruit stickers, but it turns out that we get enough of them at home. Plus, I thought I was being funny)
Success.
I sprayed this page with my favorite perfume: Michael Kors. So now the entire journal smells fantastic :)

Vintage Postcard of the Week - #2 - Best Wishes
For as long as my stash lasts, I'll be posting a vintage postcard every Sunday.
Printed in Germany
Before we hated Germany, and before you needed an address to send someone a letter.
I'm guessing Aug 8, 1899 (from the stamp I can barely read)
sent from Stuart, Nebraska to Badger? Nebr (there is no town in Nebraska named Badger, according to google maps)

Puzzletter
I love finding new ideas on the interwebs. Here is a lovely idea I got from Laura over at Please Deliver To. She received a puzzletter. What on earth is THAT?!? Well, here are her photos:
Buy or make a puzzle, and write a letter on the back while it is still together. Then, break it apart and send it. They have to put the puzzle together to see what you wrote! How neat is that?

State Bingo!
Creating those maps a while ago gave me the idea of a state bingo (an idea stolen from Where's George). Basically, I'd like to send/receive postcards to/from each state by Christmas 2012.
I though Montana would be the hardest, so I started there first. My idea was to search for the state using sendsomething, but there are no active users from Montana! So, I found an avid Montanan user on postcrossing and sent her a message, and she graciously agreed to help me with my state bingo.
Here's the postcard she sent me:
This has to be my favorite viewcard I've ever received. It shows so much, and the contrast makes it 10 times more visually interesting than most viewcards. Thank you so much Brenda!
And this is the card I'm sending to her in return. She said likes witches, and this is the only witch in my stash:
She also like knitting, and "would love to see images of where you live and things that you find beautiful!"
I always have the problem of wanting to multiple things. This is why I need more penpals.
